I was on holiday, finally enjoying a bit of peace, tea in hand, not a care in the world when I get an angry client call about underwriting asking for “everything but their blood type.”
I let him vent and calmly explained that this is completely normal! Underwriting isn’t there to be difficult, they’re there to verify every detail so your loan actually gets approved. Income, assets, debts… they’re connecting all the dots behind the scenes.
Yes, it feels like a lot. But they’re not doing it for fun.
Plus the faster you provide what they ask for, the faster you get to the finish line and more importantly, the keys to your new home!
It’s not the glamorous part of buying a house, but it is the part that makes it happen.
